Special Olympics recognition for Service

The Toronto Police has been recognized for its commitment to Special Olympics with the 2014 Community Award.

Detective Michael Puterbaugh and Leslie Koski received the award on June 1 at the Novotel Hotel

“Our Service is committed to Special Olympics and to the athletes,” said Puterbaugh.

“We are midway through our fundraising campaign for raising an additional $21,000 year to send athletes to Special Olympics Ontario and on goal to reach our target by the end of the month.”

Last year, members contributed nearly $65,000 and expectations are they will raise more this year.
