Sex Crimes Child & Youth Advocacy Centre investigators are thanking the public for their assistance in finding a man wanted in a violent sexual assault against a girl.
Michael Parmentier, 37, of Toronto, was arrested June 26, and charged with sexual assault, sexual Interference, sexual exploitation, invitation to sexual touching, forcible confinement, overcome resistance by attempting to choke, assault and uttering threats in relation to a violent attack June 24.
He is to appear at 1000 Finch Ave. W. court on Friday June 27, at 10 a.m.
The Child & Youth Advocacy Centre was opened in October 2013 and is comprised of specialized child abuse investigators from the Toronto Police Service, in collaboration with members of the Catholic Children's Aid Society, the Children's Aid Society of Toronto, the Hospital for Sick Children's Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Program (SCAN), Safe-T Program, Halton Trauma Center, and Boost Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention.
