Hicham Laghzaoui, 38, was charged with sexual assault

It is alleged that a woman entered through the unlocked door of a home at 3 a.m., confronted the tenants and threatened to pepper spray them. She then sexually assaulted a man.

Police believe the incident, which occurred near Dundas St. W. and McCaul St. on Saturday, Sept. 6, may not be isolated and are appealing to any other victims of similar assaults to come forward.

Hicham Laghzaoui, 38, is charged with unlawfully being in a dwelling, three counts of assault with a weapon, sexual assault and possession of a prohibited weapon.

The Toronto Police Service would like to remind the public, specifically university and college students, of the importance of securing their residence at all times.
