Home Invasion Arrests

Three men and two boys face 22 charges related to a string of home invasions targeting sex trade workers.

It is alleged that from December 2014 to February 2015, there were a number of home-invasion robberies in the Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue area which were becoming more violent. The suspects assaulted and pointed firearms at the victims, who were a vulnerable group of women as they work in the sex trade.

Police executed search warrants that resulted in the recovery of several replica weapons, a handgun and property

 and resulted in five arrests the morning of March 2.

Alcott Wiafe-Baaye, 19, of Toronto, is charged with:



1) Robbery while armed With Firearm

2) Disguise with intent
3) FTC Probation 





Semaon Kidane, 18, of Toronto, is charged with:



1) two counts of Robbery while armed With Firearm

2) Disguise with intent

3) two counts Robbery While Armed with a Knife

4) five counts of Firearm Possession

5) Possession of Cocaine



Peter Chin, 18, of Toronto, is charged with:



1) Robbery while armed with a knife

A 15-year-old boy, of Toronto, is charged with:

1) two counts Robbery while armed with Firearm

2) Disguise with intent

3) Robbery





A 17-year-old boy, of Toronto, is charged with:



1) Robbery while armed with Firearm

2) Disguise with intent

3) Possession of Cocaine



The boys' names cannot be released under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
