  • A girl looks up at the camera in a circle of other people

  • Rubber boots with pink and white hearts in a trunk

Young members of the Girlz Will be Girlz mentoring group along with officers from 54 Division, 23 Division,  Toronto Police Rovers and local community members participated in a Community Clean Up in Taylor Creek Park near Dawes Road on June 14.

The 40 participants collected 25 bags of garbage during the hour and a half walk.

The rain started to fall half way through the walk, however, it did not dampen the spirit of the community, not one complaint and a lot of smiles.

The snazzy polka dot boots were donated to us by Mike Kenopick from Canadian Tire at 1901 Eglinton Avenue East.
