Sergeant Chiu and Regent Park Neighbourhood Officers Constables Mircea Biga, Farzad Ghotbi, Melissa Huntley and Ed Parks were invited by the Chief Executive Officer of Heart & Stroke Foundation to participate in the 28th Becel Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart.  Mike McCormack, the President of the Toronto Police Association also joined the 51 Division team for the ride.

Despite the steady downpour and the cold weather, the students from Lord Dufferin Public School and Nelson Mandela Park Public School reported to 51 Division for the 5am start.  Everyone achieved their personal goal by riding the 25km, 50km or 75km routes.

Special thanks to JumpStart, Children’s Breakfast Club and ProAction Cops & Kids for the bicycles and equipment and also to Fleet Management and Salvation Army providing the transportation for the event.
