Theft Suspect Pulls Knife

A man who stole items from a Loblaws store pulled a knife on a security officer who approached him.

A man is reported to have stolen multiple items from the store at 5095 Yonge St . around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 15.

When he was approached by a security officer outside the store, the man brandished a knife towards the officer who backed away. He then fled the area, possibly towards the subway.

Investigators have released a security camera image of the suspect.

The man is described as light-skinned black, 45 to 50 years old, 5'8", medium build and has short curly dark receding hair. He was wearing a black windbreaker jacket, a dark checkered dress shirt, black pants and was wearing glasses. 

Police are advising the public to not approach this man, but to contact police if he is seen.
