Also seized were a ballistic vest, numerous rounds of ammunition and a quantity of powdered cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana.

Leslie Prince, 38, of Toronto and Immorie Joris, 27, of Brampton have been charged with unauthorised possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorised, possession of a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence, careless firearm and ammunition storage and three counts of possession of a prohibited device.

The accused made court appearances at Old City Hall on September 30.

“We are pleased and encouraged any illegal firearms are taken off our streets,” said Detective Sergeant Scott Spratt. “These firearms are intended to one thing and that is inflict harm on the community.”
