Wing (Wayne) Woo, of Toronto, is facing firearm and drug charges after members of the Gun and Gang Task Force allegedly recovered six firearms, ammunition and narcotics worth over $2,000.

The guns include several automatic rifles and a .44 restricted handgun.

“This investigation started a few weeks ago and we found more than we thought would have been there,” said Detective Sergeant Brian MacDonnell, of the Organized Crime Enforcement Integrated Gun & Gang Task Force. “Those are pretty dangerous high-calibre and velocity weapons.”

Police also allegedly seized three sticks of dynamite from the one-bedroom apartment near King St. W. and Spadina Ave.

“Experts in explosives were called in to remove the items,” MacDonnell added.

Woo, is facing 33 charges, including unauthorized possession of firearms, careless storage of ammunition and unlawful possession of explosives, will make a court appearance today at Old City Hall.
