Brennan Wayn Guigue, 45, was arrested by Montreal Police on November 21. He was wanted in Toronto for an alleged robbery and sexual assault.

Brennan Wayne Guigue,45, was arrested by the Montreal Police Service on Nov 21.

Guigue was wanted by Toronto Police for an alleged sexual assault committed just after midnight on Nov. 6, near Yonge and Alexander Streets.

It is alleged that a 28-year-old woman was walking in the area when she was grabbed by the accused who put a gun to her head, bound her hands behind her back and forcibly walked her to a secluded area where she was sexually assaulted.

The attack was interrupted by three men who were exiting a taxi nearby, said Sex Crimes Acting Inspector Joanne Rudnick.

“They offered her help and called police,” said Rudnick. “With assistance from 51 Division members and community partners, Guigue was identified as a suspect and a warrant for his arrest was issued.”

She said he was known to police and frequented the downtown core. He was also wanted for a robbery by Toronto Police.

He attended a bail hearing this morning in a Montreal court.
