Sub-machine Guns, Kilos of Drugs Seized

A Gun and Gang Task Force investigation led to the seizure of sub-machines guns, handguns and kilos of drugs.

On Thursday, November 19, 2015, nine people were arrested and search warrants were executed in Toronto and Vaughan. 

It is alleged that the following were seized: 

  • two 9 mm automatic Sterling MK4 sub-machine guns 
  • a Zustava Arms Scorpion M84 sub-machine gun 
  • a Para-Ordnance P10 .45 calibre pistol 
  • a Para-Ordnance P45 .45 calibre pistol 
  • a Springfield armoury .40 calibre pistol with silencer 
  • numerous rounds of ammunition of various types (.45 calibre, 9 mm and .40 calibre) 

It is alleged that the following narcotics were also seized: 

  • 1.5 kilos of cocaine 
  • 1.8 kilos of heroin 
  • 1.3 kilos of marijuana 
  • 1.1 kilos of MDMA 
  • 1 kilo of methamphetamine 
  • 5 kilos of hashish 
  • Half-kilo of ecstasy 

The following people have been arrested 

  • -Buu Giang, 39, of Toronto 
  • Tin Lieu, 30, of Vaughan
  • Phong Nguyen, 25, of Vaughan 
  • Michael Trinh, 38, of Vaughan 
  • Wayne Trinh, 39, of Vaughan 
  • Tanya Truong, 31, of Vaughan 
  • Thang Mach, 44, of Toronto 
  • Chieu Pham, 41 of Toronto 
  • Manh Nguyen, 28, of Toronto 

This was an investigation led by the Toronto Police Service Gun and Gang Task Force with assistance and support from the Emergency Task Force, Toronto Drug Squad, Intelligence Services, 23 Division and 31 Division.
