Do you know a member of the Toronto Police Service, civilian or sworn, making a difference in the community?
The Public Heroes Awards Hosting and Selection Committee is now accepting nominations for this year’s awards.
Nominees must display outstanding delivery of policing services and will be judged on the following three criteria: Altruism, Dedication and Community Involvement.
Nominations may be submitted by members of the community, Toronto Police volunteers, friends, family and co-workers. Self-nominations and team nominations will also be accepted.
One member or team from each emergency service in all four regions of the Greater Toronto Area (Toronto, York, Peel and Durham) and members of RCMP, OPP, ORNGE and Correctional Services will be eligible for a Public Heroes Award.
Award recipients will be invited to attend the Public Heroes Awards Dinner on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Mississauga Convention Centre.
Intercultural Dialogue Institute (IDI) GTA has been holding the Public Heroes Awards since 2011 to recognize outstanding service by Police, Fire and Paramedics.
Nomination forms and more details can be found at publicheroes.org under GTA (Toronto).
The deadline for nominations is March 01, 2016.
