It is reported that: on Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 11:55 p.m., a 25-year-old woman was walking in the Ryerson Avenue and Queen Street West area when a man grabbed the woman from behind and forced her into the Linda Griffith Laneway.

The suspect knocked the woman to the ground and sexually assaulted her but fled westbound after being interrupted by a passer-by.

The suspect is described as white, 30-40, 5'11", chubby build, approximately 250 lbs., with short ,wavy black or dark-brown hair, unshaven, with a large nose, wearing a dark, hooded sweater, dark-gray track pants and dark shoes. 

Police are appealing to witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the assault to contact police.
