Gun, Drugs Seized

Acting on a tip, Toronto Police seized a handgun and a quantity of drugs after an arrest on July 19.

Members of the Gun and Gang Task Force executed a search warrant at a Toronto address around 8.p.m. and arrested 33-year-old Robert Walker.

A .45 calibre semi-automatic Springfield Armoury handgun, numerous rounds of ammunition and a quantity of powdered cocaine and MDMA were seized.

“Anytime we can take a gun off the street, that’s significant,” said Detective Sergeant Brian MacDonnell.

Walker, facing 12 charges, appeared in court on Wednesday, July 20.
