Sex Assault, Impersonating Officer Arrest

Investigators are concerned there may be more victims after a sexual assault where a man allegedly posed as a police officer.

It is alleged that on Sunday, September 11, at 12:06 p.m., a 36-year-old woman was in the College Street/Spadina Avenue area when a man a man approached her and produced an object resembling a police badge. He then sexually assaulted the woman.

On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, Jeffrey Dewey, 55, of Toronto, was arrested. He is charged with sexual assault as well as impersonating a peace officer.

Dewey has two distinctive tattoos: a mermaid on his left bicep, and a large multi-coloured star with a human eye in the middle on his right forearm.
