Care Packages for Homeless at Christmas

Members of Toronto Police Records Management Services (RMS) filled 50 shoeboxes of gift donations for Haven Toronto.

The boxes were filled with gift cards, gloves, hats, socks and other essential items.

“This was a collective effort by RMS and we provided the less fortunate with a little piece of Christmas,” said A/Director Rita Vigna. “Big thanks to all that contributed to our shoeboxes. This small gesture will bring a little hope and happiness for these homeless men.”

Haven Toronto is the only facility in Canada dedicated to serving homeless men over the age of 50.

The agency was very appreciative of the gesture.

“Thanks so much for the generous donation of gifts for our clients,” the agency said in an email. “We are blown away by the thoughtfulness and care that went into the boxes.”
