The Leuty Lifeguard Station is frozen against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Ontario in the Beach neighbourhood in the city's east end with little activity over the New Year. But when summer hits it's a beehive of activity watched over by the Toronto Police Lifeguard Service - a dedicated group of young men and women who keep the water's edge safe. Happy New Year and stay safe and warm during this cold snap.
