Police believe there may be more victims after arresting two teenagers and two adult brothers accused of sexually assaulting a young girl.
At a press conference at police headquarters on April 24, Detective Constable Krystal Mosher said the assaults took place between December 2010 and September 2012 in the city’s east end.
The victim, who was familiar with the offenders, was between the ages of four and five when the assaults occurred.
“On at least one occasion, the two adult offenders sexually assaulted the child together at the same time,” said Mosher.
Raymond Savoie, one of the accused, has had contact with children in his community through babysitting.
“We believe there may be other victims,” Mosher said.
She said the four accused are known to police.
Raymond Savoie, 43, has been charged with gang sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual interference while his younger brother – 40-year-old Michel Savoie – faces gang sexual assault, sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference charges.
The brothers will appear in court on June 3.
The teen boys – 18 and 17 – have been charged with sexual assault and interference.
They will make a court appearance on May 26.
