Stabbing Suspect Wanted

A man wanted in connection with a stabbing investigation turned himself in to police tonight.

Cory Galea, 21, turned himself into police

Cory Galea, 21, of no fixed address, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapons after an attack near Yonge St. and Dundas St. on August 13.

A 33-year-old man was walking when he inadvertently bumped shoulders with one of two men while texting on his phone. The man he bumped into took exception as a perceived slight and attacked the victim.

While defending himself from the attackers, the victim was stabbed in the heart.

Mohamed Ali, 27, of Toronto, has been arrested also in connection to the case and is facing attempted murder and aggravated assault charges.
