On April 15, a woman was grabbed from behind by a man as she entered an apartment building at Parliament St. and Front St. E. He attempted to pull her out of the building but she broke free and called for help.

The man fled on foot.

In July 2006, a 23-year-old woman was walking in the Earnscliffe Rd. and Oakwood Ave. area when she was confronted by a man who pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.

On June 10, 36-year-old David Hodgson of Toronto was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault and failing to comply with recognizance.

He made a court appearance on June 11.

Detective Ali Ansari of the Sex Crimes Unit said forensic evidence linked the accused to the sexual assault in 2006.

“That’s all I can say at this time because the matter is before the courts,” said Ansari.
