Wanted for 2000 Murder

Homicide investigators are seeking the public’s assistance solving a 16-year-old murder investigation.

On Friday, February 18, 2000, around 10.15 p.m., police responded to a 9-1-1 call at the Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga. Alexander “Sasha” Kalaba was discovered in the hospital suffering from stab wounds previously received inside a vehicle at 296 Mill St.

Despite life-saving efforts by emergency personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A Canada-wide warrant for First-Degree Murder has been issued for Alas Warsame and Mohamed Abdi Guled.

“We are appealing to the public for any information on their whereabouts,” said Detective Sergeant Stacy Gallant.
