Caheem “Clayshawn” Ramsuchit, of Toronto, was shot outside a townhouse complex at 11 Shoreham Court, at around 11.30 a.m. on Saturday, November 19. He succumbed to a gunshot wound to his torso.

He had left his home, at about 11 a.m., to meet several friends in a backyard. Shortly after his arrival, two males parked a car in a roundabout, just west of the backyard where Ramsuchit was standing.

“The two males made their way towards the backyard using a paved walkway,” Detective Sergeant Mike Carbone said at a press conference at police headquarters on November 24. “They eventually come up to a wood fence that divides the walkway from the private yards of the townhouses that are lined up in a row. At this time, one of the males shoots his firearm over the fence and strikes the deceased. Several shots were fired at him and no one else was injured.”

The suspects, who fled the scene in an SUV on the rainy and windy morning, were wearing dark coats with hoods.

“One of the reasons for us to release this video today is to get an untainted perspective and a witness who can tell us exactly what kind of a vehicle it was,” said Carbone. “We certainly are not prepared to tell viewers what the vehicle is.”

In addition to talking to witnesses, investigators are asking anyone who was in contact with the deceased during the week prior to the homicide to call them.
