At around 12.30 p.m. on May 8, 1992, John Leonard borrowed a friend’s car in Mississauga with the promise to return it in an hour. That was the last time he was seen or heard from.

When Leonard failed to return the vehicle, the friend called police to report it stolen.

The vehicle was located later that same evening in the parking lot of Woodbine Racetrack.

Leonard is described as White, 5’10’, 170 lbs. with blond hair, blue eyes and thin build.

“He just disappeared without any trace,” said D/Const. Shona McDougall of the Missing Person Unit. “It is quite a distinguishing photo that he has and we are wondering if it will jog someone’s memory or if there is someone out there that knows something.”
