Brennan Wayne Guigue, 45, is wanted in connection with a sexual assault at Yonge and Alexander Sts. November 6

A 28-year-old woman was walking in the vicinity of Yonge & Alexander Sts.   when she was grabbed by the suspect who put a gun to her head, bound her hands behind her back and forcibly walked her to a secluded area where she was sexually assaulted.

Sex Crimes Acting Inspector Joanne Rudnick said the attack was interrupted when three men exited a taxi nearby.

“They offered her help and called police,” said Rudnick. “With assistance from 51 Division members and community partners, Guigue was identified as a suspect and a warrant for his arrest was issued.”

She said he’s known to police and frequents the downtown core.

“He’s considered by police to be violent, armed and dangerous,” said Rudnick. “…The police are also concerned about his safety as he has a history of mental-health issues.”

She is appealing to Guigue to contact a lawyer and make arrangements to turn himself in.
