There may be delays in receiving results from police background checks due to a potential mail disruption.
In the event of a Canada Post mail service disruption, there may be a delay in processing time(s) for applications under the Police Reference Check Program.
Members of the Police Reference Check Program will notify the applicant when their completed background check has been forwarded to the Division near where they reside. Once notified, applicants are requested to please allow 2 to 3 days for the envelopes to arrive at the Division from Police Headquarters.
