Donation to Help Women & Youth

In the three years Heather Rambharack was a member at St. Paul’s United Church, she made a difference.

The wife of Detective Neil Rambharack lost her battle to cancer In December 2018.

She was 38.

On February 17, the family donated $3,000 to the church.

“We raised the funds and it will be used to reflect my wife values and beliefs,” said Rambharack, who, with his nine-year-old daughter Sarah, made the presentation.

Pastor Daniel Benson was very appreciative of the donation that will be used to help women who are victims of domestic violence as well as young people.

“Heather was well liked by church members,” he said. “The money will be used to support women in transition and those facing challenging situations. We are also going to provide pastoral support for young adults facing life-threatening health issues.”

Carol Brake, a member of the Church Board, joined Benson in accepting he donation.

“We are very grateful for this monetary contribution,” she added.

Rambharack’s in-laws, Bruce and Elizabeth Cameron, who contributed to the fundraiser, attended the event.
