Hold Up investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects and a vehicle of interest related to a home invasion robbery in 53 Division.

On September 27, at around 7.15 a.m., a 67-year-old man answered a knock at the front door of his residence nearEglinton Ave. W. and Yonge St.

The resident was confronted by two men wearing construction vests, hard hats and dusk masks.

At a news conference at police headquarters on November 14, A/Insp. Lauren Pogue said the armed suspects forced their way into the victim’s home and demanded money.

“They tied the victim up and viciously assaulted him while ransacking the home,” she said. “The two suspects eventually fled without obtaining anything.”

The victim, who sustained severe injuries that required medical attention, freed himself and called police after the attackers left his home.

Pogue said that a week prior to the home invasion, the suspects were seen with a third man in the same neighbourhood and were believed to be “casing” the area.

“All three males were dressed in similar type clothing with yellow or white hard hats and dark pants and were observed walking along the sidewalk to a waiting vehicle,” she said.

The suspects utilized the same vehicle on both occasions. The vehicle is described as a 2007 or 2008 dark/grey or blue Nissan Maxima.
